GLOBAL WARMING - THE DEBATE IS OVER

Latest news is that the Oregon Petition saying that the catastrophic global warming swindle is a swindle seems to be gathering scientits signatures apace. Last time I checked it had 19,000 of them. Now it has 31,000.

Occasionally alarmists have said that it doesn't actually say what it says. Here is what it says:

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.

Expect not to see this reported in the media & possibly even for them to continue describing the alarmists as the "consensus". To be fair they are the consensus among politicians of the main parties & the controllers of the media, but obviously not of scientists.

Well, back in the old routine eh? You're right, the debate is over but not in the way you mean. Seekers after the truth can try

I particularly enjoy the comment trail...

Is it those pesky lizards David Icke is on about causing all those Icebergs to melt then?

Im worried about fish stocks, as I love catching fish, with global warmiong they will boil away.

It appears those pesky icebergs are refusing to melt, indeed coverage is expanding due to the recent particularly cold winter (an effect of the lack of sunspots rather than global warming).

"Satellite images are showing that the cold spell is helping the sea ice expand in coverage by about 2 million square kilometres, compared to the average winter coverage in the previous three years"

Perhaps it is time for the "environmental" crowd to start warning us that we must give up modern technology to prevent an ice age, as they did in the 1970s rather than giving up modern technology to prevent catastrophic warming as they are now doing.
